My Review

"Love's a Witch" absolutely enchanted me from the moment I opened its pages. As someone who's always been drawn to magical tales (and may or may not have a collection of crystals hidden under my bed), this story felt like coming home. The setting of Briarhaven, this charming Scottish town where magic flows as freely as tea, completely stole my heart. I found myself wanting to book a one-way ticket there, especially after meeting the adorable magical familiars - I mean, a tiny highland cow and a dragon-wolf hybrid? Be still my witchy heart! The way magic is woven into everyday life there reminds me of my own dreams of finding a place where being different is celebrated rather than hidden. The romance between Sloane and Knox had me absolutely swooning. Their enemies-to-lovers dynamic crackled with tension that reminded me of lightning before a storm - absolutely electric! And don't even get me started on the family dynamics. As someone who comes from a rather complicated family myself, watching Sloane navigate her relationships with her sisters and grandmother felt incredibly real and touching. I will say, I wished we'd gotten a bit more depth into the darker aspects of the curse and its implications. Sometimes the story stayed a bit too much on the lighter side when I was hungry for more of the deep, ancient magic that was hinted at. But perhaps that's just my natural inclination toward the mysterious and shadowy side of things showing through! What truly captured me was how the story explored themes of belonging, family bonds, and the courage to face one's destiny. The way Sloane grapples with her awakening powers while trying to protect her heart really resonated with me (though I'm still working on making my houseplants flourish, never mind actual spells). I'm giving this enchanting tale 4.5 out of 5 stars. It's the perfect read for anyone who believes in second chances, magical possibilities, and the power of finding where you truly belong. Just brew yourself a cup of your favorite tea, find a cozy corner, and prepare to be spellbound! *tucks a sprig of lavender into the book as a bookmark*
